The Voice of Real Estate in Vermont
REALTORS® don't just sell property, they build communities. REALTORS® have a long-standing tradition of community involvement, making a difference in the neighborhoods where they live. Ensuring economic vitality, providing housing opportunities, building stronger communities: REALTORS® share these goals with the Vermont State Legislature and the US Congress. REALTORS® are eager to do more to enhance Vermont's housing industry and add to the quality of life all Vermonter's enjoy.
Right now many working families are facing critical housing decisions, that is why during each legislative session the Vermont Association of REALTORS® works diligently on issues that effect housing, property rights and taxes. In recent years we have been successful at helping to create new housing development programs, and have kept numerous attempts to limit private property rights at bay. We have also been a vigilant opponent of tax increases on sale of property.
In order to keep VAR members and the public informed on the issues during the legislative session we publish a weekly Legislative Report, and create a wrap up at the conclusion of the session. We also post these and other content here on our website. It takes knowledge of the issues and people willing to act to impact Vermont's future. The Vermont association of REALTORS® is committed to being a part of this future and will continue to be the voice of real estate in Vermont.
